Giant Mountain Bike Frames

Giant has been one of the industry leaders since getting into the bicycle business nearly four centuries ago, and the latest line of Giant mountain bike frames continue the company's line of innovative products that make the cycling experience more pleasant for everyone, whether racing in a competition or just riding through nature at a local park.

As the technology of Giant mountain bike frames has progressed, the company has moved several of its designs from aluminum to carbon for its latest series of bike.

Among the newer models, the Giant 2010 Anthem X Advanced SL, features a full carbon frame that is 200 grams lighter than the old aluminum models, while still providing exceptional shock. It is ultra-light, with a downtube that keeps the bike stiff under harsh pedaling and terrain, which explains why this Giant mountain bike frame is used by pro racer Adam Craig.

All-carbon is also the theme of the Giant mountain bike frame on the Trance X Advanced SL models. The total weight for the frame, shock and hardware is less than five pounds, nearly a pound lighter than the 2009 version, but despite that the company claims it has better tracking and pedaling efficiency because of the frame's MegaDrive downtube and Overdrive headtube.

The Giant Reign X.0 uses ALUXX hydroformed aluminum, but still saves enough weight to come in at less than seven pounds. Finally, the 2010 Giant Faith is more than two pounds lighter than previous models, with a frame that accepts numerous drivetrain options.
